La Plage, a holiday atmosphere on the banks of the Rhine

Located in a green setting in Rhine riverbank, La Plage is a guinguette restaurant with a unique atmosphere, designed by Franck Mattern, a local boy.

"We used to hang out here with friends when we were 18, we dreamed of creating a place. It took me 40 years to make it happen."

Today, La Plage has become a place of sharing appreciated for its peaceful atmosphere, its shaded terrace, its homemade cocktails and its natural setting.

A peaceful place, designed for relaxing in complete simplicity

Here, everything is designed for disconnect ! In the afternoon and evening, visitors settle in for a drink, a meal, a concert or a plancha with friends.

"We respect the place, we want it to remain family-friendly and calm. The birds singing, the setting, everything invites you to slow down!"

Acoustic concerts, mojito or mussels and fries evenings, sunsets over the Rhine... La Plage, it's this little one taste of summer.

Simple, local summer cuisine

On the plate side, the spirit is summery and unpretentious : tapas to share, planchas...

This year, our Venezuelan chef Joseph adds his own touch to the cuisine: spicy seasonings, just the right amount of spice."

Without claiming traditional Alsatian cuisine, La Plage gets its supplies from local producers : organic fruits and vegetables, meats from short supply chains.

On the bar side, we let ourselves be tempted by a mojito, a homemade planter, or simply a beer on the terrace.
