Breisach am Rhein
also called “Old Brisach“

Breisach am Rhein is one of the oldest cities in GermanyBuilt on the banks of the Rhine, it invites you to stroll through the picturesque streets of its city center. Cafes, ice cream parlors, walks along the Rhine can delight young and old.

Must-see stopping point: Saint Stephen's Cathedral Square where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Rhine, Rhine Island and the Black Forest and even the Vosges. Consider making a short stop at the Franciscan Gardens.

Kaiserstuhl

In German, “the emperor’s throne”, is a mountain range linked to a volcanic history, dating back 16 to 18 million years. Known for its picturesque villages, The Kaiserstuhl has an almost Mediterranean climate., which is responsible for a multitude of extraordinary natural experiences such as emerald lizards, bee-eaters, more than 30 species of wild orchids... and most importantly, of course, for viticulture and arboriculture.

The Kaiserstuhl is in all seasons an ideal destination for nature loversThere are many possibilities for cycling and hiking.

Bonus : Spend a day in a botanical fairytale world at the Lilienthal Trail. Observe a wide variety of orchids, sequoia and other flowers and shrubs. The starting point for the tours is from the Inn zur Lilie.

The Black Forest

The Black Forest, known as “Schwarzwald”, is a vast pine forest known for its lakes, hiking trails, its famous cuckoo clocks, not to mention its culinary specialties such as the cake that bears its name.

Freiburg

Nestled in the heart of the Black Forest, Freiburg is a must-see stop for its culture, modern architecture, historic old town and cathedral. Ideal for shopping, you can stroll along the Bächle (picturesque little streams) and discover its charming alleys.

Bonus: stop at the market on the Cathedral Square to taste the typical German grilled sausages “Currywurst”.

Titisee Neustadt

Located 30km from Freiburg, Titisee is the largest natural lake in the Black ForestSurrounded by a pine forest, its water is crystal clear, it offers a romantic setting. A range of activities is possible : swimming, hiking around the lake, pedal boat, rowboat or boat tour. Don't miss a culinary stop at one of the beer garden and take the time to stroll through the typical shops.
