The Steam Train
The glorious invention of the 19th Century, the steam Train, hasn’t aged a bit and is still as impressive as back in the day. You’ll discover the Alsatian Ried and the Rhine through a combination between two uncommon and majestic public transits, the steam train and a cruise ship.
The trip
From the pier in Breisach am Rhein, you will board a boat for an 80-minute trip on the Rhine. The trip will take you to the “Sans-Souci” pier.
Here you will take a seat in an old open platform train pulled by a locomotive from the beginning of the last century. You will discover the Alsatian Ried and make a stop at the Volgelsheim station museum, where you can visit the old depot and see the old railway collection.
Finally, the boat will take you back to Breisach am Rhein.

- Runs on Sundays from 14 May to 1 October (also public holidays and some Saturdays)
- Departure at 3:15 pm; time of return 6:15 pm
- Report to the pier by 15:00 at the latest
