Harvest festival
Relive agricultural traditions

The Harvest Festival is an iconic event of Blodelsheim, celebrated on even-numbered years, usually during the last weekend in July. Organised by the association La Moisson d'Antan, this event aims to preserve and share the agricultural traditions of yesteryear, offering visitors an authentic immersion in the rural Alsatian world.

A journey through agricultural traditions

The Harvest Festival offers a living reconstruction of old agricultural techniques. Festivities include old-fashioned harvesting demonstrations, featuring historic machinery such as hot-ball tractors, reapers and threshers. Participants, dressed in period costumes, illustrate the evolution of agricultural methods, from manual mowing to the first agricultural machines.
