Swimming in the river is prohibited and can be dangerous in particular close to locks, dams and hydroelectric power stations. Furthermore, swimming in the Rhine is never monitored.
We strongly advise you not to take unnecessary risks. Although swimming is prohibited, nothing prevents you from relaxing on the banks of the river to enjoy the sun and perfect your tan!
